AlSur e a Defesa dos Direitos Digitais na RightsCon 2025

A RightsCon é um dos eventos mais importantes do mundo sobre direitos digitais e tecnologia. Todos os anos, reúne ativistas, acadêmicos, organizações da sociedade civil e especialistas em tecnologia para discutir desafios e avanços na proteção dos direitos humanos na era digital. Em 2025, este espaço se torna ainda mais relevante em um contexto onde os direitos fundamentais, tanto no ambiente físico quanto no digital, estão sob ameaça em muitas partes do mundo—e a América Latina não é exceção.

Como organizações membros da AlSur, levaremos uma agenda diversa e estratégica para a RightsCon 2025 com o objetivo de destacar os principais desafios enfrentados pela nossa região, incluindo privacidade, regulamentação da inteligência artificial, direitos das mulheres e comunidades LGBTIQ+ nos ambientes digitais, acesso à justiça e a luta contra a vigilância em massa. Em um momento em que os retrocessos nos direitos digitais se tornaram uma tendência preocupante na América Latina, essas sessões buscam influenciar políticas globais a partir de uma perspectiva do Sul Global, promovendo soluções mais equitativas e contextualizadas.

Os debates na RightsCon 2025 não terminam com o evento. Esperamos que essas discussões se traduzam em ações concretas para a defesa dos direitos digitais na América Latina. As organizações da AlSur continuarão trabalhando juntas para impulsionar políticas públicas mais justas, promover marcos regulatórios equitativos e fortalecer a incidência global a partir de uma perspectiva do Sul Global. Seguiremos construindo espaços de resistência e transformação para garantir uma Internet livre, aberta e com direitos para todas as pessoas.
